My answer is ..........................

Hell to the no! (Thanks Whitney Houston for the kick-ass catch phrase! You totally rock when your stoned out of your mind!)

Look at the proof!

George W. Bush (Ugly)
Richard Nixon (Ugly)
Rutherford Hayes (Ugly)

Don’t worry Democrats, i’m not gonna’ leave you guys out!

James Polk (Ugly)
Grover Cleveland (Ugly)
Lyndon Johnson (Ugly)

Look at it!
The writing is on the wall!
The proof is in black and white! Well, mostly white because that’s the only color all 43 of our presidents have been up to now but that could change this year.

Yahoo!

P.S. I’m not prejudiced!

Anyhoo, i’ve been doing some faux research and below are a few reasons why America can’t handle having a good-looking president in the White House.

- Ugly people supposedly work harder than good-looking people because they can’t skate by on their looks. So ugly presidents in the White House it is!

- Some Americans are shallow. Some only want to see good-looking people on the runway, in popular magazines and in motion pictures but not in the White House. So ugly presidents in the White House it is!

- Good-looking people are considered frivolous meaning they will spend all money allocated to weaponry on botox treatments. So ugly presidents in the White House it is!

- Good-looking people are generally considered stupid basically because they are good-looking. Good reason, huh! So ugly presidents in the White House it is!

Whatever the hell the reason, personal or rational, it seems that Americans will probably never be able to handle a good-looking president in the White House with the exception of John F. Kennedy of course.

Sorry, John Edwards!

Fine, as you say that looks matter for people in the US when electing a US President. the major question is here - who will go in White House for next four years. The answer is that - who looks good only. Bald and ugly men cannot win the presidency. Is there any criteria for women because a woman is in race too?

Useless debate it is, if the people elected Presidents only on their looks, we wouldn't have had Abraham Lincoln and others we've had in past. According to me the last good-looking President of the US was John F Kennedy.

I couldn’t digest the theory. Hillary Clinton looks gorgeous and she is still in the race against the poster boy Obama. For me, Bush looks like a chimp and the people elected him in 2004. Find some other theory...

It is not good for us that a country of 300 million people is facing problems in finding a charismatic leader with strong vision to become the President of US. The political parties should promote ‘handsome-with-brain’ and ‘beauty-with-brain’ kind of people in politics.

I am telling all of you the quality of a good leader. The people of any country shouldn't elect any leader just because of cut of their jib or the size and shape of their physical assets. They shouldn't have good ears to listen what people are asking them to do because they all are the champions of making false promises.

Even Ugly men look good if they take advice from good looking people. If you say Lincoln as ugly I won't support you because he looked good in beard. A young lady journalist had told him to sport a beard to make his appearance and authority as a politician. Lincoln accepted her advice and show the world how good-looking he was.

Its all democratic drama because looks matter to the unintelligent voters of democratic party. That's why it is important for democratic candidates to have nice hair, good look and better physical appearance. Republicans don't need to go this way because their voters are more interested in policies and the future of country.

If anyone asks me to tell the name of the most handsome US President since World War II, I would vote for Bill Clinton. He is the man who couldn't avoid having women around him. People talked about him that he had so many affairs because he was handsome as well as intelligent also.

So is McCain’s case good?
But I think he’s hot. Especially when he gets all red and stuff after making embarrassing and stupid comments.

Hi, everybody!

Thanks for all of your comments!

RE: My Article

Looks are subjective. What I might think is good-looking may be ugly to someone else.

I hope that our next president of the U.S. will be the most qualified for the job and can actually do the job regardless of race, sex or looks. It would also be nice if he or she could lower my taxes too!

This article was meant to be light-hearted it was written in jest.

Ha, ha, ha, i think this much is enough. I think all of the chief contenders are far away from being labeled UGLY. Be it Hillary, Obama, Or McCain; Republican or Democrat; its policies and the nation’s interest- though you never know what they are, within the country or outside world- that are much important than looks, I presume.
