Heigl told the execs at Grey’s Anatomy that they could kill off her popular character or do anything else, she just wants to be let out of her contract so that she can pursue a big screen movie career due to both of her recent movies, “Knocked Up” and “27 Dresses” doing moderately well at the box office.
